Pascall's was a family-run business founded in 1866 by James Pascall, who was recorded as having worked as an agent for Cadbury's before setting up a small sugar confectionary shop with his brother Alfred in Blackfriars, London. It was not until later, in 1966, that Cadbury is recorded as acquiring the London-based confectionery business.
'Pascall and his Candy Catchers' was inspired by the characters 'Mr. Fickelgruber', 'Mr. Prodnose', and 'Mr. Slugworth', who 'Mr Wonka' described as spies to steal his recipes for rival chocolatiers, in Roald Dahl's book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'.

Though these assemblage sculptures contain vintage doll components that may have once been played with by children, this piece is not a toy to be played with.
As with all bulbs, they get hot! I use low 15 wattage bulbs on each piece but the bulbs still shed heat, so be advised to display your piece in a suitable location.
